California Women for Agriculture
Santa Maria Chapter
PROMOTING AND DEVELOPING THE INTEREST OF CALIFORNIA WOMEN INVOLVED OR INTERESTED IN AGRICULTURE SINCE 1975.
If you eat and wear clothes, you are involved in agriculture.
The Santa Maria Chapter of California Women for Agriculture (“CWA”) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, protecting, and advocating for our local ag industry through education and advocacy. We do this through various means such as legislative visits, providing school garden grants, college scholarships, and giving back to our community by participating in ag-centered outreach.
-
Legislation
Each year California Women for Ag travel to Sacramento to speak to legislators about endorsing agriculture and reminding our representatives of agriculture's importance.
-
Education
Endorsing and promoting California agriculture through local farm days, ag in the classroom, photo contests & more! How can you help?
-
Scholarship & School Garden
California Women for Agriculture is an advocacy group of supporters of agriculture. Here in Santa Maria our local outreach includes youth contests, scholarships, and school garden sponsorship.
